Dear Applicants,
The videos and information below will guide you in preparing your short application with visual examples if you're uncertain about the movements in the captions. If you are experienced with Horton and Graham, you can submit an application crafted with greater freedom and flexibility, following the pattern provided. Your video application can also include stage performances using the Graham and Horton syllabi.
If you're unsure about the suitability of your video, don't hesitate to submit it. Our team is ready to assist you and will contact you if any adjustments are necessary.
Students enrolling in this programme are either absolute beginners or have very little experience in the Graham or Horton Techniques syllabi to teach.
You are not required to send a video at this time.
Instead, contact us at MIU to tell us about the Certification you wish to gain and dance background, then sign up and begin learning with our online resources. You can also join weekly classes and monthly Masterclasses as often as you can. Submit a video of your progress every week to receive private feedback on demand from our course leader.
Immersing into the method you prefer is paramount at this stage. Consistently practice, watch, read, educate yourself about Graham/Horton as much as you can.
Candidates should demonstrate their technical abilities by submitting a short video application. You can either replicate the movements shown below or create your own exercises following the same pattern if you are familiar with the technique.
>> Some candidates may adjust certain movements or submit their applications together with a student or assistant in instances of physical limitations, clearly showcasing their comprehension of the fundamentals in brief verbal instructions.
>> Your video should be no longer than 3 minutes and sent via a private link to the school Head Office
