Since joining the Graham company, Anne has graced the stage in lead roles for iconic works such as Appalachian Spring (1944), Cave of the Heart (1946), Diversion of Angels (1948), Dark Meadow Suite (1946), Chronicle (1936), Ekstasis (1933), Immediate Tragedy (1937), and Herodiade (1944). Her journey also includes performances in new and commissioned works by an array of brilliant choreographers, including Jamar Roberts, Agnes de Mille, Baye & Asa, Annie Rigney, Hofesh Shechter, Sonya Tayeh, Andrea Miller, Maxine Doyle, Bobbi Jean Smith, Lucinda Childs, Lar Lubovitch, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, and Marie Chouinard.
Anne's interpretation of Graham's works has resonated worldwide for a decade, exemplifying the versatility, athleticism, and refinement essential to the Martha Graham Dance Company dancers. She perfectly merges Graham's pedagogy with stage performance as a skilled instructor, making her classes distinct and precise. Her insightful approach to the fundamentals and thorough understanding of the Graham repertoire elevate her classes to must-attend occasions. Anne proudly represents AGMA and has been an exemplary union rep for five years and counting.
We are thrilled to welcome Anne to the MIU Family and look forward to introducing her to our global community.
