Antonio Leone, a talented dancer and artist originally from Italy, has cultivated a remarkable career spanning continents and esteemed institutions. He is an alumnus of the renowned Rudra Bejart School in Switzerland, where he honed his craft and developed his unique expressive style. In 2021, Antonio's dedication and exceptional talent earned him a place in Graham 2, an acclaimed ensemble integral to the Martha Graham Company. By 2022, he had progressed to perform with the main company, demonstrating his versatility and mastery in dance.
Throughout his performances, Antonio has brought to life powerful roles in iconic works such as Errand into the Maze, Diversion of Angels, Cave of the Heart, and Appalachian Spring by Martha Graham. His artistry also shines in commissioned pieces created by visionary choreographers like Sonya Tayeh, Hofesh Shechter, Jamar Roberts, Baye and Asa, Yin Yue, and Hope Boykin. These collaborations highlight his adaptability and ability to connect deeply with diverse choreographic visions.
Antonio has the distinction of being the first male dancer with CR Dance, marking a significant milestone in his career and inspiring aspiring dancers worldwide. His excellence has not gone unnoticed, as he is a Pearl Lang Award recipient for Outstanding Performance and is honoured to be the 2025 recipient of the prestigious Fini International Rising Star Award. Antonio Leone’s journey exemplifies passion, resilience, and the power of dance to inspire and transform.
