The Programme

M-Intensive University is a Graham & Horton techniques online School and Continuing Education Provider with M-Intensive ODT MIU (Registered #12564799).

MIU strives to be creative and unique while honouring the traditional principles of Horton and Graham techniques to respect this legacy. Our rigorous online teacher training features a mix of video modules to support your learning and 100% live classes with your instructor.

The Certification programme builds on the academic knowledge and skills developed during the M-Intensive University Programme.
The course guides students to apply Graham and Horton's teaching and learning strategies to create their own studio practice.

Our expertise lies in our comprehensive understanding of traditional movements and our ability to teach them safely, thus preventing common injuries associated with such practices. With us, you will learn innovative teaching methods that prioritize injury prevention.

During the course, students will acquire the Horton and Graham skills necessary to confidently manage the learning environment they practice in by studying Curriculum Design and Assessment. In addition, an overview of Graham and Horton's History and Choreographic Practice will help students contextualise their practice about the broader professional and creative dance industry.

These modules are also designed to ensure that students develop foundational Horton and Graham skills essential for further studies as part of their personal and professional growth.

Upon course completion, students will earn a Horton or Graham Techniques Teacher Certificate and are listed online as MIU Registered Graham or Horton Techniques Teachers.

How does the training work?
