New at M Intensive University
We are thrilled to welcome dancer and certified Graham Technique teacher Aleksandr Koynov from Moscow, who graduated from MIU’s Graham Teacher Training programme in 2022. Since then, Aleksandr has taught and performed in his homeland, inspiring others by sharing his love of Graham at the most esteemed dance institutions.
Since its founding in 2020, MIU has been honoured to promote the Graham and Horton lineages globally, cultivating a new generation of knowledgeable teachers and strengthening their legacies. Our efforts have brought the transformative power of Martha Graham and Lester Horton’s Techniques to over 30 countries.
The MIU Associates Programme will serve as a vibrant platform within our community, connecting passionate teachers eager to share their love of Graham and Horton with a new generation of students. Supported and empowered by the MIU Family, they will continue to ignite a wave of inspiration worldwide.

We are excited to welcome Rayan Lecurieux-Durival to MIU for the first Horton session of 2026.
Rayan Lecurieux-Durival, a Guyanese dancer and Horton Technique teacher, began dancing at a young age. He trained in Guyana at three institutes—Conservatoire de Guyane EPCC, the music and dance school of Matoury, and ADACLAM—before moving to Paris in 2016 to join the Rick Odums training course. He has performed with companies such as Jeune Ballet Jazz, directed by Rick Odums and Christelle Chinonis, and Jeune Ballet Modern, led by Bruce Taylor and Florence Meregalli.
In July 2018, he was selected from auditions at the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater and participated in the Summer Intensive in New York. He then moved to the U.S. to study at the prestigious Alvin Ailey school, performing with the first company and the Ailey Students Performing Group, while honing his Horton technique. Rayan has worked with choreographers including Matthew Rushing, Earl Mosley, and others, and supported artists like Magali Vérin in 2016 and Saïna Manotte in 2020. Since May 2021, he has been a member of the Pony Box Dance Theatre Company in New York.
