Olivia Nidaud is a French professional dancer, model and Horton Technique specialist originally from Martinique Island and based in Paris.
She started classical ballet at six years old in Martinique and has fallen in love with dance ever since.
Olivia graduated from The Institut de Formation Rick Odums in Paris, where she discovered the Horton Technique with Magalie Verin, an Ailey School graduate and founder of Corpo M' Company. She then continued her professional training at the prestigious Ailey School in New York City in the Certificate Program focusing on the Horton Technique, amongst other dance styles such as classical ballet, Graham Technique, jazz and contemporary. Olivia studied the Horton Technique in-depth for many years with world-acclaimed teachers such as Milton Myers, Elizabeth Roxas-Dobrish, Ana Marie Forsythe, Freddie Moore, Lakey Evans-Peña, Freddie Moore and more.
Olivia understudied Ailey's works, such as Revelations (1960); she also collaborated with award-winning choreographer Darrell Grand Moultrie.
Enriched by her experiences in NYC, she travelled the world, performed in many dance productions, and toured Bangkok with the Remue Menage company. Olivia is also a freelance artist and performed in musicals, music videos, films and tv shows in Martinique and Paris.
Alvin Ailey's legacy and universal message of tolerance and inclusivity are at the core of Olivia's methods of teaching the Horton Technique. Her solid experience makes her class unique, emphasising strength, rhythmicity and versatility, demonstrating the limitless possibilities of the technique.
