Annakanako’s training also focused on Gaga technique; therefore, she has gained solid knowledge of modern and contemporary dances. Always striving for new opportunities, she performed for JoAnna Mendl Shaw in The Equus Projects, which pairs dancers and horses for brilliant works created for rural and urban landscapes; she then traveled the globe to pursue her professional development and moved to Europe in 2011.
Over the past ten years, she has danced on the most renowned stages worldwide, such as the Berlin Wintergarten Theatre in Germany. She has also performed in many dance companies, such as the Fleur Darkin Ensemble, Yukiko Masui Company, and Zoonation in the UK. Annakanako is also a freelance artist and recently danced in the Paralympic closing ceremony in Tokyo.
She is currently a company member of The Lion King international tour and a Guest Teacher regularly invited to teach Horton in workshops and companies worldwide.
